Many children can easily relate to Betsy. She’s young, has a teddy bear, pencils as well as books, and has made a huge mess in her room! This short poem is about her desperate hunt for some of her clothes which are in fact lying all over her room.
FOCUS OF THE GAMES:
• learning the name of clothes and pieces of furniture
• practising the prepositions in, on and under
• visual challenge to help Betsy find her clothes
IN THE CLASSROOM:
Play a funny game with clothes. One learner goes out of the classroom and changes something about his/her appearance. Then he/she comes back in and others have to guess what has changed in English, of course!
