Introducing the Fair Score
We wanted the Reading World Cup to be fair for everyone - small classes and big classes alike. So from now on, we're using a new scoring system called the Fair Score.
Here's the idea: a class of 8 students with one super-fast reader shouldn't automatically beat a class of 30 hard-working readers. So instead of just taking the simple class average, we gently balance smaller classes toward the global average until they have enough students for the score to be reliable.
This way, every class - no matter the size - has a fair chance to win.

The Master Educator Award
