Terms & Conditions
for the BOOKR Class Reading Competition

Welcome to the Global Reading Time-based Competition (the “Competition”), hosted by Mora-Bookr Kids Kft. (“we”, “us”, “our”). The Competition is designed to encourage children aged 4-14 to engage in reading, thereby enhancing their reading skills and providing a fun, competitive environment.

The Competition is open to children aged 4-14 years. A parent or legal guardian must register on behalf of children under the age of 18. Teachers are encouraged to support their students but are not eligible to register for the Competition.

All participants must register through the official website and use the BOOKR Class app, which is free for the duration of the competition. Registration and participation are subject to the acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

• Existing BOOKR Class Account with Children: If you already have a BOOKR Class account and have added your children to your account, you can simply log in and select the child(ren) you wish to enroll in the competition.
• No BOOKR Class Account: If you do not have an account, you must register for a new BOOKR Class account. During the registration process, you must “sign up a child” by creating a username and password for each child you wish to participate.

• Registration Prohibition: Teachers cannot directly register for the competition. However, teachers with a BOOKR Class school account can log in and register their students using a unique student code provided within the platform.

Participation Details Based on User Status

• Parent—Already a User: As an existing user, select the child with whom you wish to enter the competition through your account.
• Parent—New User: As a new registrant, create your parent account and then add your child(ren) to your account to enter them into the competition. Note: You cannot see competition results or enter the competition from your account; entry is only through your child’s account.
• Teacher—Already a User: As an existing user with a school account, you can enter your students into the competition using the student code. Note: Teachers cannot directly enter competitions, but they can facilitate student participation.
• Teacher—New User: Teachers without a previous BOOKR Class account cannot enter students into the competition. Teachers are encouraged to support student participation through other means.

The Competition runs from 6 May to 17 May. Participants’ reading times, tracked through the BOOKR Class app, will be used to rank competitors on the leaderboard.

Prizes will be awarded as follows:

• Certificates: The first 50 readers will each receive a certificate of achievement.
• Special Amazon Gifts: The top three participants will receive special prizes based on their final rankings:
  • 1st Place: Segway Ninebot eKickScooter. For more details on this prize, visit here.

Prize Conditions:

• Prizes will be sent directly via Amazon. Availability is subject to Amazon’s shipping policies. If there are issues with shipping to the winner’s location, an alternative prize of equal value may be chosen at our discretion.
• We reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without prior notice should any prize become unavailable for any reason.
• Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Distribution:

• Winners will be contacted via the email provided at registration to coordinate the delivery of their prizes.
• Each winner must provide accurate shipping information and comply with any requirements to claim their prize.

We are committed to protecting participants’ privacy. Personal information will be collected only with consent during registration and used strictly to administer the Competition.

Participants are expected to compete fairly and ethically. We uphold the integrity of the Competition and encourage all participants to adhere to the spirit of fair competition.

• Fraudulent Activity: Any attempts to manipulate rankings, including but not limited to registering as a bot, fraudulent reading times, or any other form of cheating, will be thoroughly investigated.
• Inappropriate Registrations: Registering a child under a false or inappropriate name or attempting to enter misleading or offensive information will be grounds for immediate disqualification and potential banning from current and future competitions.
• Review and Enforcement: We reserve the right to review any participant’s ranking and participation in the Competition. If misconduct is discovered, we may adjust rankings or disqualify participants accordingly. In severe cases, participants may be banned from the Competition.

Participants violating these guidelines may face penalties, including disqualification and exclusion from future events. We aim to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all competitors and will take necessary actions to protect our community standards.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes through our official channels.

This Agreement shall be governed by the internal substantive laws of Hungary without respect to its conflict of laws principles. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Court of Budapest for any actions for which we retain the right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of our copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, or other intellectual property or proprietary rights.

This Privacy Policy describes how Móra-Bookr Kids Kft. collects, uses, and safeguards personal information for the BOOKR Class Reading Competition, including data collected through the BOOKR Class app. It also details the information visible on the Competition leaderboard.

We collect personal information during registration and app usage, such as names, ages, contact details, profile pictures, countries, and reading times. Consent for this collection is required for participation.

Personal information and app usage data are used exclusively to administer the Competition. This includes managing registrations, updating the leaderboard, and distributing prizes.

The leaderboard will display the following information for the top 20 participants:

• Profile picture
• Name (displayed as firstname_lastname)
• Country (represented by a flag icon)

The ranking on the leaderboard is based on reading time, although the specific reading times will not be displayed. Participants can view their own ranking when logged in, which will be highlighted for easy visibility. This approach ensures participants know their performance while maintaining privacy regarding their specific reading times.

Personal information will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent except as necessary for law enforcement or prize distribution purposes.

We are committed to protecting personal information and app usage data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction through appropriate security measures.

Participants have the right to access their personal information and request corrections. Please contact us for any such requests.

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in how we collect or use information, including any changes related to the leaderboard. Participants will be informed of any significant changes.
